1970: The 'Different Shades of Brown' Sign Recording Contract
"The Different Shades of Brown," of Springfield Saturday signed a recording contract with the Motown Recording Company of Detroit, Mich. Members of the local "soul" quartet happily wait to sign on the dotted line as Mrs. Doris Holland (Center) of Motown's legal department, explains the contract.
